AGES Association

We are a non-governmental organization established in 2010, with an independent character, non-patrimonial, apolitical and non-profit purpose, which acts mainly for the public benefit.

Purpose

Our goal is to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the communities in the North-West of the country, respectively to the development of cross-border relations with communities in the Carpathian Euroregion. In this sense, we carry out activities in areas related to our training and experience: community development, promoting culture and traditions, organizational development, supporting youth activities, adult training, supporting the development of the nonprofit sector, and developing cross-border collaborations in various fields.

ACTIVITY

Our main activities are the initiation, respectively the involvement in projects whose objectives are in accordance with the purpose and objectives of the association, the organization of events of public interest, support in launching, organizing or organizational development of other non-governmental organizations, etc.

Since its establishment, we have developed in partnership with organizations active in Satu Mare County and beyond (Red Cross, Satu Mare Rotary Club, Satu Mare Chamber of Commerce, Ratiu Center for Democracy, Center for Public Policy) projects in which we have been involved in adult education, international relations development, organizational development, training of our members and volunteers in the field of public policy, monitoring the activity of local elected officials.

We also provided support in setting up NGOs (Satu Mare Fencing Association), provided advice or supported the development and implementation of local community projects initiated by other organizations (Parents for Children Association, School Center for Inclusive Education), respectively supported with a scholarship a student with special qualities at a prestigious university abroad.
